Mushroom Energy & Cognition Drops

$47.99

Mushroom drops are liquid supplements taken by the dropper, either under the tongue or mixed into a drink. Pilly Labs sells three, each 1 mL per serving and 30 servings per bottle: Mushroom Energy & Cognition Drops, Reishi Calm Drops and Adaptogen Immunity Drops. Choose by the label: the Energy & Cognition drops list five separate amounts, while the other two disclose a mushroom total plus one separate amount and do not disclose how much of each species is in the complex. Research on the ingredients below is context, not a promise about any Pilly product.

Label facts are as published on each Pilly Labs product page on 2026-10-08. The bottle you receive is the final authority.

What's in each product

Product Serving Actives and amounts as disclosed Form Other ingredients

Reishi Calm Drops 1 dropper (1 mL); 30 servings Reishi extract 150 mg; "Proprietary Mushroom Immune Complex" 50 mg naming Chaga, Reishi, Maitake, Shiitake and Turkey Tail. Amount of each species in the complex: not disclosed in the current public product text. Extract; part of the mushroom not disclosed in the current public product text Glycerin, purified water, natural flavoring, stevia, potassium sorbate, nisin
Adaptogen Immunity Drops 1 dropper (1 mL); 30 servings "Proprietary Mushroom Immune Complex" 150 mg naming Chaga, Reishi, Maitake, Shiitake and Turkey Tail; Cordyceps extract 50 mg. Amount of each species in the complex: not disclosed in the current public product text. Extract; part of the mushroom not disclosed in the current public product text Glycerin, purified water, natural flavoring, stevia, potassium sorbate, nisin

Reishi appears twice in Reishi Calm Drops, once as its own 150 mg line and once inside the 50 mg complex, so the formula names five species in total, not six. All three list stevia; none is established as sugar-free.

What the research says about these ingredients

Lion's Mane

Evidence type: a small human trial. In 18 healthy adults aged 18 to 35, one 3 g dose of Lion's Mane fruiting-body 10:1 extract produced no significant effect on overall cognition or mood after 90 minutes; one individual task (the pegboard test) improved (PMID 40276537).

What this does not show: the study dose was 30 times the 100 mg on the Energy & Cognition label, it tested one acute dose in young adults, and it does not show a focus or memory outcome from the drops.

Cordyceps

Evidence type: human trials and a systematic review. A 2017 placebo-controlled trial in 28 adults used a 4 g per day blend containing Cordyceps militaris; the main between-group interaction tests were not significant at one week. At three weeks, the VO2max interaction was significant; separate confidence-interval analyses reported time-to-exhaustion improvements within the mushroom group (PMID 27408987). A 2025 meta-analysis of athlete trials reported endurance-related differences with Cordyceps sinensis (PMID 41280379).

What this does not show: these doses and species differ from 100 mg or 50 mg of extract, and neither tested a Pilly drop.

Reishi

Evidence type: reviews. A 2023 review covers Ganoderma lucidum traditional use and immune-related mechanisms (PMID 36734035), and a 2015 Cochrane review included five trials (398 participants), but only three supplied analyzable data, all in people with type 2 diabetes. Most cardiovascular-risk measures did not improve, after-meal blood glucose results were inconsistent, and the authors found no support for treating cardiovascular risk factors in this population (PMID 25686270).

What this does not show: human evidence is mixed and question-specific. It does not show that 150 mg of Reishi extract, or any liquid preparation, produces calm or better sleep.

Shiitake, Turkey Tail and Chaga (inside the complexes)

Evidence type: Shiitake, a 4-week trial in 52 healthy adults eating 5 or 10 g of whole dried mushroom daily, measured immune-cell and saliva markers (PMID 25866155). Turkey Tail, systematic reviews of specialized extracts used alongside conventional cancer care (PMID 36445793, PMID 31333449). Chaga, a laboratory study of an aqueous extract on cell lines (PMID 29484963) and a case report on oxalate and the kidney (PMID 23149251).

What this does not show: none of these used a shared 50 mg or 150 mg complex with undisclosed species shares, so a species-level dose comparison is impossible. Cancer-care research does not transfer to general wellness drops, and a laboratory study on cells is not evidence about people.

Vitamin B12

Evidence type: NIH Office of Dietary Supplements fact sheet. B12 is an essential nutrient and deficiency matters (NIH ODS).

What this does not show: supplementing does not automatically raise energy in people who are not deficient, so the 500 mcg amount is a label fact, not an energy outcome.

Alpha GPC and L-Tyrosine

Evidence type: reviews. A 2026 review covers alpha-GPC's role in cholinergic signaling and exercise-related hormone research (PMID 42299118). A 2015 review found that tyrosine may help cognitive performance in short, stressful or demanding situations when neurotransmitter function is intact but dopamine or norepinephrine (brain chemicals involved in attention) is temporarily depleted, with varied results across studies (PMID 26424423).

What this does not show: neither cited review establishes an effect from 25 mg inside this multi-ingredient liquid. The cited tyrosine abstract does not report study doses, so it cannot support a dose comparison.

How to choose between the drops

  • You want a liquid with B12 and cognition-oriented co-ingredients: Energy & Cognition Drops, the only drop with every amount listed separately. Pilly Labs directs one dropper in the morning.
  • You want a Reishi-led liquid: Reishi Calm Drops. Directions are one dropper in evening tea or water; no calm or sleep result is promised. The gummy counterpart is on the gummies page.
  • You want a five-species liquid plus Cordyceps: Adaptogen Immunity Drops, accepting that species shares inside the 150 mg complex are not disclosed.
  • You prefer to avoid gummies: drops are an alternative format; read the stevia-sweetened ingredient list.

Safety and who should check with a clinician

  • Ask a clinician first if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, take medication, or have a medical condition.
  • Reishi Calm Drops: Reishi may interact with blood-thinning medications or immunosuppressants.
  • Adaptogen Immunity Drops: ask first if you take immunosuppressant medication.
  • Energy & Cognition Drops: Alpha GPC may interact with anticholinergic medications or cholinesterase inhibitors.
  • Chaga contains oxalates (in both Reishi Calm and Adaptogen Immunity complexes); people with kidney stone or oxalate-related history should ask first.
  • Do not use with a known mushroom allergy.

Frequently asked questions

Drops vs gummies vs capsules: what is the difference?

Format and label disclosure. Drops are 1 mL liquids with 30 servings; gummies are chewables; the Chaga capsule is a single-ingredient capsule. Compare amounts, not formats.

Are mushroom drops faster-acting?

Pilly Labs says the liquid format is designed for faster absorption, and the Energy & Cognition page describes sublingual use. That is seller positioning; no outcome speed is established here.

Do drops contain sugar?

All three list stevia as the sweetener. Sugar-free status is not established.

How do I take them?

Energy & Cognition: one dropper in the morning, under the tongue or in a drink. Reishi Calm: one dropper in evening tea or water. Shake well and follow the bottle.

Why does the complex list five species but no amounts?

The label discloses a total (50 mg or 150 mg) and the species names, not each species' share. Dose comparisons to studies are therefore not possible for those species.

The research in figures

Figure 1 One milliliter, three ways

Listed separately or combined: what each 1 mL serving discloses

All three drops are 1 mL per serving. Each bar shows that serving's labeled amounts on one milligram scale. Solid segments are listed separately; hatched segments are one combined complex.

  • Listed separately
  • Combined blend

Mushroom Energy & Cognition Drops per 1 mL dropper

  • Listed separately: 100 mg Cordyceps extract (10:1 fruiting body)
  • Listed separately: 100 mg Lion's Mane extract (10:1 fruiting body)
  • Listed separately: 25 mg Alpha GPC
  • Listed separately: 25 mg L-Tyrosine

Also Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) 500 mcg, a microgram amount too small to draw at this scale.

Reishi Calm Drops per 1 mL dropper

  • Listed separately: 150 mg Reishi extract
  • Combined blend: 50 mg Proprietary Mushroom Immune Complex: Chaga, Reishi, Maitake, Shiitake, Turkey Tail. Share of each: not stated on the label

Reishi appears twice: once as its own 150 mg line and again inside the complex. Five species in total, not six.

Adaptogen Immunity Drops per 1 mL dropper

  • Combined blend: 150 mg Proprietary Mushroom Immune Complex: Chaga, Reishi, Maitake, Shiitake, Turkey Tail. Share of each: not stated on the label
  • Listed separately: 50 mg Cordyceps extract

All three list glycerin, purified water, natural flavoring, stevia, potassium sorbate and nisin. None is established as sugar-free.

In shortEnergy & Cognition lists all five amounts. Reishi Calm and Adaptogen Immunity each pair one listed amount with a five-species complex whose species shares the label does not state.

Common questions

How do I compare mushroom drops?
Check the serving size in milliliters, which species are named, the amount per serving, how the extract was made, what the liquid is mixed with, and other ingredients. The label, not the bottle front, is the comparison.
Do drops differ from gummies on the label?
The format changes serving size, sugar and other ingredients. It does not by itself change what a mushroom does, so compare the facts panel, not the format name.
Who should check with a clinician first?
Anyone who is pregnant or nursing, takes medication, has a medical condition, or has a mushroom allergy should talk with a clinician before using a mushroom supplement.
